Be up-front and tell your prospect what products and/or services you provide. Your prospect came to your website looking for something. If he is looking for burglar alarms, tell him you provide burglar alarms. If he is looking to improve his selling skills and you provide sales coaching, tell him that you can help him.

2. Unique Selling Proposition

More than just providing a list of your products and services, you should provide your unique selling proposition (USP). This is what sets you apart from other similar vendors. Your prospect is asking, “Why should I buy from you and not from your competitor?”

3. Proof of Excellent Work (Clientele or Portfolio)

Provide a sampling of clients whom you have served satisfactorily. This communicates that you already have experience and that you know what you’re doing. This will also give the prospect an idea whether you are capable of providing what he needs.

4. Trust Badges (Testimonials, Awards, Certifications or Seals)

Give short testimonials from specific clients. Ask your clients to give a testimonial of how you have helped them solve their problem. If your product/service has received an award, show that as well. This will help build trust between you and your prospect.

5. Call to Action

Finally, make sure you have a specific call to action in your home page. Don’t just provide information about your company and how you can help your prospect. Lead them into taking action. The action can be calling you on the phone, sending an email inquiry, or anything that will take them one step closer to actually availing of your product or service.

6. Proper Use of Social Media

Today social media is the most effective form of word of mouth marketing. Add Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube and other social media profiles, depending on which accounts you are able to manage. Show the number of followers if it is more than a thousand followers already. If your followers are less than 1000, use the plain social media icon (without numbers). Encourage your clients to share your content. Post positive client stories on social media channels.

7. Do you provide good customer service?

Provide a means to submit questions or concerns via a contact form, ticketing system or live chat. If you have a physical store, provide the address and directions on how to reach your place. Add an FAQ page.

To make your website customer-friendly, we recommend the following:

  1. The current headline is good: “How is your Engine Protected? Know the difference with Raimol”. However, there was nothing in the homepage that supported that statement. Support your headline with facts on how using Raimol will make a difference in engine protection.
  2. Add product reviews from satisfied clients. Include a sampling of the testimonials at the homepage and then publish the complete list in a separate Testimonials page.
  3. Publish your list of area distributors / stores that offer Raimol.
  4. Add the following links in your main menu to improve navigation. In the current set-up, they always need to go back to home page to reach these pages.
    • Partner with Raimol
    • Shop Online
    • Products Catalog
  5. Identify bestsellers and display them in a separate section.
  6. The Shop Online is now linking to Contact Us page. It would be better if you can actually include an online store.
  7. Include Memberships and Certifications as a separate section at the homepage. Include logos or badges.
  8. For Join the Raimol page, include a file upload field where they can upload their CV.
  9. Include a blog page where you can also publish the content you are currently uploading in Facebook.
  10. Increase the width of the content section.
